My name is Wally Santos Esguerra. I am the youngest of three siblings. I came to Vancouver, Canada May 14, 1994. Of my 40 years of existence I never felt confident in myself, missing pieces of my life. When I took the CSW (Community Support Worker) course I became free to exercise my generous nature which allowed me to pursue helping others.
I started my practicum at Posabilities association in one of their homes. That is where I felt really good assisting and providing my services to others. This wouldn’t be possible without the encouragement of Myrine Baluyot. She is an asset to this school and plays a big part in Drake Medox College. Additionally, all the staff are very helpful.
I also would like to thank Taranjeet Dhaliwal for all the knowledge, determination, and confidence that she shared with me. She was my
mentor and the best instructor I have ever had and will never forget her help; I will always treasure everything I learned from her. As I have always said, I wouldn’t have come this far without her open hand and guiding support. I know that I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done. Now that I have found a piece of myself, I can say that my life is complete. I know there is still many more students to come and Drake Medox will change their lives and be a guide to them on their way to success.
I can say that I am almost there, I got hired where I did my practicum. Now I can proudly say that I am working as a permanent part-time employee at one of the biggest and well-known companies in the field. I highly recommend Drake Medox College for a unique, one-of-a-kind style of learning. Everyone is very considerate and understanding. I can put my name and reputation on this school as it has given me nothing but success.
Keep up the good work! More power to you all, especially to Taranjeet.
